These customized animations were all envisioned and illustrated by hand – no templates. After illustrating each icon I begin the motion graphics design process. This process involves fluidity, awareness of weight or size of the asset, taking into account both time and footprint on the canvas, as well as the method of export and final file type. A GIF will be larger in size than a full SVG animation captured in a JSON file which is how these assets were exported. Tailoring down the weight of each asset assists in faster load-times as well as positive contributing factor in the SEO of the webpage.
